PheebzEatz is a collection of stories centred around food. It’s part practical guide of where to eat in Tokyo/Japan and part diary of what I got up to this week.

I’m a journalist and media professional based in Tokyo, and my passion is FOOD and STORYTELLING.

If you love good food, Tokyo/Japan and general silliness, this is for you.

The PheebzEatz weekly newsletter is free and will include:

  • What I ate - the good stuff I ate this week, where to go and what to order.

  • What I did - part diary/part professional update on my projects.

  • What I’m reading - the most interesting articles and food stories I’ve devoured this week.

Paid subscribers will get a weekly special post with:

  • My secret food tip(s) of the week - the place or thing I ate that I’m not sharing with just anyone ;)

  • More in-depth food thoughts and features

  • Weird, whacky and sometimes downright embarrassing tales from my life (I may regret this)

  • Access to the archive

  • Much gratitude and happy messages of thanks and enthusiasm!

About me: My full name is Phoebe Amoroso, and I’ve been based in Japan for more than 8 years now. As a journalist, I’ve reported live and produced features for more than 20 TV and radio stations worldwide, including PBS, SBS, CBC, Al Jazeera, Sky News and NHK World.

I have helped produce food documentaries for NHK World and have written about food for BBC Travel, the Japan Times, Tokyo Weekender, Culinary Backstreets and more

I present a YouTube series called Pheebz to Table for byFood.

I lead food tours across Tokyo and Japan, and I hold a WSET Level 3 Award in Sake.

My goal is to produce my own food and travel show. Want to collaborate? Get in touch.
